What a day for celebration! We had a salad with our dinner tonight, picked right out of our greenhouse.
It was fantastic! Crunchy, fresh and delicious.
Made us realize what we are missing (in taste and texture) purchasing commercially produced vegetables from the grocery store.
We pray our Greenhouse will continue to produce delicious healthy vegetables for our family.
Thank you Lord.

The Second Weekend
We continued to work on the greenhouse this weekend of Feb 20th. Seeds started showing sign of growth and was very encouraging! Jeffrey started building boxes for transplant and he bought me a "potting" shed. We are so excited!
I must say that with starting this "garden" it is a wonderful time to talk to the Lord. The Lord really likes to talk to me in these "alone" times. Natural seeds themselves are amazing...amazing representation of "How God works in You and me". With each visit to the greenhouse (daily of course), I think of how tiny (unlike me :-) the seeds are yet they are full of potential and life sustaining nutrients. How much more then, am I in you? Oh how my hands tremble and knees shake at some points while digging in the dirt and feeling the closeness to my God.
To think these seeds are full of abundance and governed by the law of multiplication. They have the potential to produce and feed millions upon millions, with the basics needed to enhance the building blocks of natural life.
This makes me think of Matthew 12:23. Root yourself in Me and fruit will grow upward to enrich your own life and the lives of others. My Word is good seed...
I realize my words have the potential to multiply and bring forth fruit both good and bad. Help me to remember to take captive all my negative thoughts and words which have the power to multiply and bear unrighteous fruit. I praise You God for the gift of salvation and the reality that You took me out of the kingdom of darkness and brought me into the Kingdom of light, so that I can bring forth good fruit. I declare that I will bear good fruit for my heart and soul is grasping a hold of the truth of God’s Word. I am rooted and grounded in the soil of salvation…in the soil of love and I grow upward.
Father, Thank You once again for choosing me…for choosing that I may grow and bring forth much fruit.

The Setup
The first weekend the greenhouse was delivered, as a family we spent about 6 hours getting it set up. Jeffrey did the shelves, etc. and Manny and I planted seeds. We also went to a local store and purchased a couple of existing plants just to make the greenhouse, well...GREEN!
Our first weekend was that of February 14th, which was mine and Jeffrey's 10 year wedding anniversary. This was my anniversary gift from him. Of course there are more plans in work and updates will follow.
So, here are a few photo's of the first weekend.
