Food for the soul
Today as I spent time transplanting some seedlings that were ready to take off, I couldn't help but think of being fruitful. Sometimes I think we all think that being busy means we are being fruitful. However, today I realized it's not the same thing.
I mean how many times have you told someone how busy you are? I've done it many times myself. I think for some reason we feel important when we can tell everyone just how busy we are. The bible says to be fruitful - not busy. Fruitfullness (if that's a word) is a blessing in ones life. It blesses us, so we may bless others. Fruitful people leave tracks that people want to follow. I want to be like that.
I'm going to concentrate on being more fruitful. One key ingredient I think is to pray over things before we start them and ask ourself: Is it busy, or is it fruitful?
Deut. 28:8 “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
